This semester sees the launch of a new lecture series, The Colloquium
on Food, Agriculture, and the Environment
, co-sponsored by the School
of Forestry & Environmental Studies, the Program in Agrarian Studies,
the Yale Sustainable Food Project, and the Rudd Center for Food Policy
and Obesity.  The colloquium aims to promote interdisciplinary
dialogue among faculty, students, staff, and the general public on
current research and contemporary challenges regarding food, agriculture
and the environment, and the interconnections among them. It also works
to enhance Yale’s considerable strengths on this subject by bringing
together the work currently being produced by its faculty and guest
scholars. The colloquium will meet each Wednesday from 4:30-6pm in the
Burke Auditorium of Kroon Hall.

Please join us for our first lecture, Green Intelligence for a Healthy
Diet, presented by John P. Wargo, Professor of Environmental
Risk Analysis and Policy, and Professor of Political Science, from the
School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, to be held next
Wednesday, January 27. A full calendar of the Colloquium’s Spring
2010 program is available at:

We look forward to your participation!
